I have many Lawrence Co., IN families I am researching. Some of the names are: ARMSTRONG, AUSTIN, BROWN, HALL, HOWELL, KOCH, LEWIS, LINK, LUTES, MCAFEE, MCCLINTOCK, MCDERMED, MELVIN, OGG, ROUNDS, SCOFIELD/SCHOFIELD and SIPES. Other Indiana Counties my ancestors have lived in prior to settling in Lawrence Co. are Washington, Orange, Brown, Jackson and Clark counties. My research has taken me to Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and across the water to Ireland, Scotland, Germany, and France.

ON my Paternal side, the MCAFEES I am fortunate to have an abundance of documented information. Much of it from a family history researched and written by my 3rd cousin PAUL MCAFEE in the 1950's. Prior to his research was extensive diaries and stories by ROBERT BRECKENBRIDGE MCAFEE that included information about the "MCAFEE Brother Pioneers" who were among the first white settlers in Kentucky. This line dates back to Scotland in the 1600's.
On my Maternal side, the WILLYARDS I also have information dating back to the 1500's starting in FRANCE and imigrating to GERMANY then AMERICA.
