Tracing my grandfathers origins.

George William Goodwin born 24/6/1894 to John Robert and Mary Maria nee Richardson at 21 Wingfield Rd, Stratford, West Ham. Both his parents died which resulted in him being placed in a Barnado home. Geo. W. married Beatrice Amy Bamford at the parish church of Crowle, county of Lincoln on 27/12/1922. Their wedding was witnessed by Henry her father & Harrie Bamford. Grandfather always believed his birthday was in January so possibly the above info. given in the copy of birth certificate obtained by him in 1949 is of another Ge. Wm.
Unfortunately granddad never mentioned he was ex Barnado boy to his three daughters, one of which is my mother so next to nothing is known about him.
