About Our Family Research

I am trying to piece together my family tree. So far, my father is from Rancho los Otates, Jalisco. He moved to La Villa de Purificacion, then to the US in the early 1960s. My grandparents were from Santa Rosalia, Jalisco, from possibly French and Spanish ancestry. My mom's Dad came from Manzanillo Colima to Tijuana, and her mom's family (the Santinis) apparently came from Sicily to Tijuana, then also to San Diego. She came to the US in the 1970s.
On my husband's side, his parents were both born in the Dominican Republic, more specifically Tenares. His dad took his mom's last name, Jaquez, instead of his dad's, Guzman. Since the name is french, we assume she was of french creole descent, but we're not sure how far back. His mom's grandfather came from Palestine to the DR, and married a spanish woman, who were my grandmother-in-law's parents.
