The Jaquish families in Tennessee and their relatives in Covington, KY, and the Cincinnati, OH, area, are closely related. Many of the Tennessee family are located in Athens, TN. They are descended from Charles E. Jaquish and Leona Jones Jaquish who moved to Tennessee from KY/OH. The northern Kentucky group is descended from members who came from Vermont. The Vermont members were part of the original group that goes back to the Jaques in Newbury, Massachusetts led by Henry Jaques (1619 - 1687) and his wife Anna Knight (d. 1705).
