The "Phillips of Wales Settle in America - Journal" was completed in 2004. It has approximately 294 pages that includes; 4,045 individuals, 1267 marriages, 771 surnames, covering 14 generations and 408 years of genealogy. Included also is the three family crest from Wales, Ireland and Scottland. Two main charts are contained in the journal that are; a Generation Chart and a Kinship Chart outlining the surnames aphabetically. Some history of the Phillips immigration into America as well as the migration throughout America is mentioned. In addition to the journal, there is a CD available that includes even more information. The CD include the master file for use with Family Tree Maker software, 7 charts of various importance and over 300 photographs, some dating back to the invention of the camera.
As many of us know, genealogy is an on going project. So is the case here, evident in the current 2008 family tree content. We now have (July, 2008); 4529 Individuals, 1449 Marriages, 42062 Text Records, 14 Generations and 828 Surnames within this family tree. The next and final printing/publishing of this family tree will be in 2010. If you would like to share your family branch of information, it will be added to this tree. You must contact me well in advance to give the lead time necessary, deadline for inclusion in this project is December 1st, 2009. A rare exception might be permitted if your branch has only a small amount of information. I do envite you to participate as we are family, and it is by our collective efforts we will all be able to have a document to comemerate our family heritage.

Anyone interested in participating in a DNA project for Phillips born in America; please contact the Journal's author as well. I am conducting a DNA project named "Phillips America DNA Project" through www.familytreedna.com. Do not mistake the other projects for the America project. I am concentrating on only Phillips that were born in America; this is to relate the DNA results to this genealogy project. This keeps both the DNA and Genealogy focused on complete results.
