The Thomas Chapman Sr. Family Immigrated to the United States in the late 1800's and early 1900's from Kent Co., England. And settling in Bronson, Branch County, Michigan. Thomas Chapman born 1827 in Hawkhurst,Kent Co, Englnd was the son of Richard Chapman of Kent/Sussex, England born about 1810.
Thomas Sr. came in 1897,going to his son James William Chapman who was one of the first to came to Michigan in 1890 he was single at the time he came to the US.
Son Frank Chapman arrived on April 2, 1898 with has wife Rhoda(Peckham)Chapman,and there children. Also with him was his mother(Thomas's Wife) Jane (Edmett) Chapman, Jane and Thomas's son Harry Chapman, and daughter Emily (Chapman) Rose and her spouce Albert Rose all from Benenden, Kent County, England. Son Thomas Chapman Jr. arrived May 27,1905 going to this brother James Chapman and his father's in Bronson, Branch County, Michigan. Thomas was single. And he came from Benenden,Kent County, England.
Son George Chapman came on June 19, 1910 with his wife Elizabeth (Rose) Chapman and there 5 month old daughter Dorothy Chapman. Going to his brother Thomas Chapman in Bronson, Branch County, Michigan.they came from Cranbrook, Kent County, England.
Son Richard Chapman and wife Ellen (Onions)Chapman and there children came in June 27,1896,They came from Cranbrook, Kent County, England.
And daughter Charotte (Chapman) Cutbush and her spouce Thomas Cutbush born in Biddenden, Kent County, England and family.came in 1890, They were the first one's to come to the USA. they came to Thomas Brook house (he was Thomas's uncle). They were from Cranbrook, Kent County, England.
There was only one of Thomas and Jane's children at remained in England, and that was Mary Ann Chapman. She married James Game in 1892 they lived Ispwick, Suffolk County, England in 1922.
