I've been researching the JERMAN FAMILIES for awhile, and the earliest member being Thomas Jerman Jr., b. 1779, and here the backtrail ends. Fortunately I submitted a sample for DNA testing and found that our roots lie in Wales, something I remember my mother telling me when I was a youngster, and low and behold, it was true. I have no idea how she knew this. I do remember she mentiones Ireland, which I now take as the truth.
