Updated October 11, 2002

About Our Family Research

I have researched the Jetter family coming from Germany in 1830-40's settling in Salamonia, Jay County, Indiana, The Andrews Family, The Harter family. (These Are ancesters of Donald Jetter) I have also researched the Issac Satterlee Family from Ontario County, Gorham Twp, New York later settling in Eaton County, Chester Twp, Charlotte, Michigan. The Bertha Squires family whose father was Philo Squires from Ohio. The Mikesell family from Carmel Twp, Eaton County, Michigan and the Cooper Family(J.Smith Cooper) who also settled in Eaton county Michigan.(These are ancester of Charlene Satterlee Jetter)
The Harter family has a reunion in Portland Indiana every August and it is attended mostly by the Jetter families who were closely related in several different ways thro the years. This was discovered in my doing the Harter and Jetter research.
The Satterlee-Cooper families have a family reunion every August and it will be held at Nancy Satterlee Herzel's farm in Woodland, Michigan August 2003.
I have found several interesting things about these families as I have researched on the internet, interviewed family members and researched genealogy societies and libraries.
