Hello, my name is Deborah J Jiannine. I am originally from Red Bank, NJ. I am searching for information on either of the names Jiannine or Giannini. My father was Daniel John Jiannine. The stories that my grandmother told were that my grandfathers family came from Roseto, Italy and moved to Roseto, PA. My great grandparents came over from Italy. My grandfather, Fausto (Foster, I believe that he americanized Fausto) was part of the first generation born in USA. I was told that the last name was changed at Ellis Island even tho' they had immigration papers. There was also some mention of Fausto being the black sheep of the family and some mention about him being a part of the Giannini's that opend a bank in California? By the time i was born my grandmother was pretty lost in time and my father only had her stories to go on. I do remember visiting an Aunt in Little Silver and I think her name was Mary. I had an Uncle named Phill and he was a police captain in Red Bank. Please let me know if any of my info crosses with any of yours or your husbands.
