My sole purpose for sharing my family information is in hopes of finding out about my Lineage/roots. ON MY MOTHER'S SIDE: My Great Gradmother was AURELIA ARCES. She married my Great Grandfather LUCIANO BARRETO (aka Chano), both from Aguadilla. They had 3 children: FILOMENA BARRETO (1915-1987), Carmen JULIA BARRETO (1917-1974 -- my grandmother) and SANTOS BARRETO (1921-Present). My Great Aunt Filomena had three daughters: EUHENIA (Hena) ROMAN, VIRGINIA (Ville) ROMAN and BLANCA VILLANUEVA. My grandmother (Julia) lived in a cerro known as Juan Vega in the 1940s. She never married and had 8 children but only 5 survived: CARMEN JULIA HERNANDEZ (1937-2005), ISREAL BARRETO-CAMACHO (1941-1995 -- Papo), JUANY CAMACHO (19?? – 20??), JOSE RAFAEL MENDEZ (Cheo) and ESTHER MENDEZ (1946-2006 -- my mother—Terry or Tereza). My Great Uncle Santos has 10 children: JESUS aka Chuito, JOSE, CHANIN, IRIS, LUZ, PROVI, AURELIA, CARMEN, VICTOR and ANA (aka Annie).
