Babi immigrated to the United States in 1921 to Cicero, Illinois. Cicero when she moved to the United States, was the Bohemian Capital of this country. She went back only once in 1966 to visit the Czech Repulic. Her mother, father, sister (Marie) and her brother (Vaclav) had already passed away. She never talked of her Bohemian relatives to her family in the United States for it was to painful to discuss them. She was married multiple times, had one son, Rudi, 3 grandchildren; Rev. Dale L. Jirousek, Donald Joseph, and Dawn Ann; and 2 great granddaughters Sarah Jirousek-Wint esq. and Sally Anne jirousek. She was greatly loved by her family.
Her grandson Dale, his wife, and their two daughters are going to travel in Germany and the Czech Republic for 1 month in 2007 to walk in the steps of Babi.
