I have been researching the Ralph; Hale and Scoville families of New York for approximately 25 years. This work is still in process and at some points of the process the "facts" are still unfounded on paper. The Hale family came from Lincolnshire England about 1850 to New York and then on to Wisconsin. The Scoville family came from France and is connected to the John/Arthur Scovil family history as well as the Hugenots of New Paltz New York. My Ralph family is from the Rhode Island, Connecticut area I believe but is first found for sure in Delhi, Delaware County New York and they then migrated to Wisconsin. The Ralph family is quite elusive and has many brick walls connecting the different Ralph families of New York together. Part of this family history is a working theory. Some of the Ralph's I am urgently searching for information on are Michael; Miles; Samuel; Stephen; Dorcas; Nathaniel; Nathan and Moses. They have all been found in the same areas of New York namely-Delaware County New York; Jefferson County New York; Lewis County New York and St. Lawrence and Oneida Counties in New York. Timeline from 1790 to 1880.
