I am doing research on my father's side of the family. I am in particular looking for the POTTER line who happened to be Native American. I am interested in one particular man named William H. POTTER.

William H. POTTER was born in 1848 in Coventry,Rhode Island to (we believe) Walter Lee POTTER, Sr. and Freelove BROWN.

William married Ann BENTLEY and had four children with her. Three were boys and one was a girl. The female was the only one who lived long enough to get married and have children of her own. Mary Belle POTTER had my grandfather and two other boys.

Not much is known about William H. POTTER. I am hoping that I can find the link between William and the Pequot nation which is rumored to be the tribe that he is from.
