About Our Family Research


John Kappes was born on July 16, 1804 near the French-German Border.He was married to Kathrina Bleichner in 1840.Kathrina was born on November 25, 1814.Together they left France on May 4,1842
headed for the new world.They landed in New Orleans,Louisiana on JUne 22,1842.FRom there they traveled up the Ohio and Mississippi rivers to Indiana.
