About Our Family Research
I have become the custodian of the Best Family tree. My mother's cousin, Mrs. Erma Gripp (now deceased), painstakingly developed this wonderful document and was able to trace our more recent Wisconsin roots back to Northampton County, Pennsylvania in the early 1700s. I am particularly interested in learning more about three brothers (George, Conrad and ?? Best) who left Germany. George and Conrad Best settled in Northampton County, Pennsylvania in about 1728. The third brother (name unknown) settled about the same time in Scotland. I have an extensive file of names that I'd like to share with you. I can help you expand your information and you can do the same for me.
The Nicholas Best Family Tree (146 KB) In 1728, two brothers -George and Conrad Best- settled in Northampton County, Pa. One son (Nicholas) began the lineage and I am intesting to pinpoint more information as the Best Family Tree.
