Since Alex Haley's wonderful series of Roots, I have been researching our families roots. I never realized how much I didn't know about our family until that time. My Mother, Cecilia Martha
Patzke Ditter filled in alot of missing information about her family and also alot of my father's family. My Father's family came over from Hamburg, Germany. Amor Ditter migrated to Wisconsin and then to Minnesota and out to the state of Washington and back to Minnesota. I had the thrill of visiting his birthplace in Germany and met my Ditter cousins still living in the area. Werner Ditter filled in many areas of the family back to the 1600's.
I know that there is a cousin in Seattle that had been writing a book about the Ditter family. As for my Mother's family I have them from when my Great Grandfathers came to Conn. and then moved to Minnesota. There background in Germany I am not sure about.
As for the Kazek family I have not gotten alot of information, I know that they came from Poland, and came to Michigan.
I would be more then happy to share all of my information with anyone interested in our families. I ceretainly would love to have any new information about both families.
I am hoping to to have a family reunion in Winnipeg, Canada for my husband's side of the family. Their family name is Borysowich and Kuchynski. Much of the family live in Beausejour, Manitoba, Canada.
As for myself our family is now growing wth children and grandchildren.
Any information you can help with would be gratefully appreciated.
