Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum

will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will

My interest in my late father's ancestors was sparked by a Family Bible given to me by my father, Kenneth M. Keagy in 1996. I only came to truly appreciate this gift now, almost 7 years after my father passed away.
This Bible was given to my father's grandmother, Anna Mary Brenneman by his grandfather George W. Keagy on their wedding day, July 3, 1883. On the very first page is:
Presented To: Anna Mary By: George
Dates of quite a few special events are hand recorded in this Bible. This information was and continues to be a great help in my ongoing research.
Just the thought that this Bible, now in my hands, was in the hands of a 21 year old groom and handed to his 18 year old bride on a very special day in July of 1883, over one hundred years ago, stirred a wonder in me.
So instead of just wondering I started researching and I would like to share what I have found with you.
