Hi! I was born in Trenton, NJ. on 10/11/46, but spent half of my
life in the San Francisco Bay area until I migrated here to El Paso, TX., in 1973. My father, who is now deceased, was retired
from the United States Army. I guess that's why I choose to enter
the United States Air Force in 1964. Being an army brat had it's
drawbacks. I was an APE, which is what they called air police at that time. After that and some college, I became a patrol special officer with SFPD. Then, after a big disaster with my first marriage, I became a correctional officer for the state of New Jersey. I finished my career in private security, which by the way, is where the REAL money is, and with good investing plus disability, left me retired to a new career in computer technology. But to get back to the subject at hand, My grandfather came here from Ireland and worked as a foreman for
Trenton, NJ. Streets Dept. in 1921 or so my dads birthpapers
seem to indicate. There is somention of his working on
Rikers Island as a fireman in the 1930's. He had a sister,
Elizabeth, and married an English woman, Leah Minerva Diamond from London, UK. I've not been able to find out much since my grandfather apparently abandoned his family when my father was quite young. No one spoke of him. I would appreciate an
e-mail from anyone having information regarding my grandfather.
I am also looking for my sister, formally Yvonne C. Keating, now
Yvonne Zobin. She is married to Sender Zobin, and resides in
London, UK. I'd lost her address, and the one uncle, Robert T.
Keating who had her new address, passed away in March, 1999.
