Keck -Johnsen -Stamper Family History

About Our Family Research

I have been doing research on Stampers since 1980.
I am still trying to locate parents for Campbell William Stamper born April 12, 1832 according to his Civil War records. I do not believe he is the son of Jackson Stamper. If the census is correct Jackson was olny 14 years of age when Campbell was born. He was 5 years of age when Jackson and Matilda Tutt married.

I am also searching for Parents for Matilda Tutt's father Micheal Tutt born about 1750.

I started on The Keck Family 2 years ago. Looking for parents for Cary William Gregory. He was born in 1826. Family legend:

His parents died on the Trail of Tears. He was kept by one of the soldiers and took the soldiers name and was raised as white.

The Johnsen family came from Norway in the Late 1800s or early 1900. They are connected to the Dagstads in Norway. George Arthur Johnsen was born in Brooklyn, New York April 29, 1924 he was the son of Martin Johnsen and Thally Dagstad born about 1893 in Norway.
