Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
When I became of member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my interest in family history started. That was June 26, 1971. I really enjoy finding relatives and have had great success with the help of friends and family. So far on my father's line (Keel, Keele) I have traced members back to the 1500's in France, then Geneva, Switzerland, England, Virginia, Illinois and finally California. My mother's line (Anderson) goes to Sweden and remains in Sweden. My dad described himself as a mut. Family history never interested him but because of his "mut" status, I not only love finding relatives but enjoy the incredible history that surrounded my family through the decades. The spirit of Elijah is alive and well within me and there is much more work to be done.
