About Our Family Research

I am researching my family tree. My father was born in Mira, LA
His name was Edwin Lafayette Keen. He died in 1966. He married Virginia Ann Parker Keen in Corsicana, TX. They resided in Houston, TX where myself and my brothers were born at St. Joseph Hospital in Harris County.
My father's dad was Forest Lafayette Keen. He lived in Oil City, LA in his later years. He was the sherriff and then Justice of the Peace in Oil City. He married my grandmother, Annie Jewel Tompkins Keen. They divorced around 1929. He then married Willie Cole. She died in the 70's in Shreveport, LA.
He then remarried my grandmother, the marriage lasted about a year. He died in Shreveport in the 80's. My grandmother, Annie Jewel Keen never remarried. She died in Houston, TX while living with my Uncle Claude Keen.
Her mother was Gertrude Tompkins of Lufkin, TX
Forest Keen's mother was Abigail Langston Keen

My mother, Virginia Ann Parker Keen was born in Dallas, TX to William Kenneth Parker and Rheba Jack McDonald. Her parents met while her father was a soda jerk at the local Walgreen's in Dallas, TX. They got married the very next day after they met. They were married a couple of years. My grandfather was a pilot and a wingwalker who was the co pilot of the first Memphis to Dallas airmail in the early 30's. He also dressed as Santa Claus and sat on the wing of the plane and threw down candy to the kids as his friend piloted the plane. He died in a plane crash when my mom was 2 1/2 years old. One of his pall bearers was Eddie Richenbacher, a WWI flying ace. My grandmother went on to marry 7 more times. She died in 1973.
My mother was raised by her father's parents and went to visit her mother in the summer for 2 weeks. My grandmother lived in Shreveport, LA.
My grandmother, Rheba was the daughter of an oilman, Charles H. McDonald. He lived in Dallas and Tyler and settled in Mt Pleasant, TX building a church and was the minister at the church. He died in 1953 of a stroke. He had married 2 more times after he married my great grandmother, Esther Pinkerton. The other wives were both named Jewel.
My mom's dad, William Kenneth's parents were Mary Ella Stephenson Dyer, her mom was Tymox Cena Dyer. His dad was James Soloman Parker from Georgia. The Dyers were from Pulaski, TN
They all settled in and around the Dallas area. They are buried in Corsicana, TX and Bazette, TX.
My Great grandfather, McDonald is buried in a mausoleum in Dallas, TX. My grandmother Rheba, is buried in Shreveport,LA
