The Michael Keenas of Flagstaff, AZ

Updated January 3, 2010

About Our Family Research

Seeking the following branches of the Keena Tree: Keena, Kusch, Toomey, Even, Lucas, Toux, Lebaron, Mielke, Cabaniss, Hair, Dodd, Evans, Lounsbury and Chase. As far as I can tell, our branch of Keenas came to New York from Ireland after the 1820's with Michael E. Keena and Martha Murphy. They migrated to Wisconsin and then to Chicago, Il. The French branch came to the States with my mother, a W.W.II war-bride. Her family origninated in Brittany then moved to Versailles. My wife's side: Dodd, Evens, Chase, Hair and Lounsbury, have been in the United States since the 1600's. The Kusch and Toomey seem to be the hardest to locate and connect.
