Karl Kegley was the son of James Mathew Kegley and Elizabeth Johnson Kegley.(James Mathew was referred to as the little duchman). Karl kegley had brothers: Hubert Kegley married Imogene Esham, Lewis Co., Vanceburg, Ky(children ElwoodKegley and Catherine Kegley (hopkins)of Friendship, Ohio .Harvey Kegley married to Drucella kegley,(children-Jack Kegley of Cincinnati,O. area) Norman Kegley married Mabel Adams,(children- Delbert Kegley married Pearl adams,(children Joyce Kegley(Sturgil of Frankfort,Ky, Ron Kegley of Houston, Tx. and deborah kegley of Vanceburg, Ky) and Ray Kegley married to Edna Kegley( of Boyd Co., Ky.-children Chelnesa of Florida ).

Karl Kegley owned the Kegley Warsurplus, founded and owned the WKKS radio station, owned in partnership Davis -Lee Construction co.(road builders). In addition he was involved in numerous other business ventures during his working life. He is now retired and is 85.

Karl also had 1 sister, Katie (katherine) Kegley Knapp. (married Corbett Knapp, Lewis Co., Ky.) Corbett Knapp had been Lewis County Ky. Clerk for years and he retired and Katie ran for the office against George M. Plummer. George Plummer beat Katie and she and Corbett woved to Washington state. They had one son, Harry Knapp who lived in various places but at the time of death, Austin, Tx.

Karl Kegley married Christine Lykins, daughter of Art Lykins and Lou Jane Bailey.(Petersville, Ky) They had 4 daughters, Patricia Kay, Carol Ann, Elizabeth jane and Karla Sue. Christine Kegley died of cancer in the early 1970's. Karl and Christine had divorced and he married Maxine Garvey(of Greenup co., Ky.) They divorced and Maxine lives in Sarasota, Fla.

Patricia Kegley-married Gordon Harrison, divorced. They had one son, Donald Karl Harrison. Patty never worked and Gordon worked highway building construction until he became disabled in a work accident. Donald currently lives in greenup co., Ky.and is Principal of a middle school in that County. Carol Ann Kegley married Avery L. stanley and they had one child, Avery "Lee" stanely II. Carol has an independent insurance agency and also a greenhouse buisness in Lewis Co. Avery was a Commonwealth's Attorney for a period and continues to practice law and serve as a family court judge. They divorced and she married Phillip Hull(banker,farmer and insurance businessman) having no children. Lee Stanley is a CPA in cincinnati, Ohio and lives in the Northern Ky. area. Elizabeth "Jane" Kegley married George Plummer and they had one child, Mark andrew Ploummer.Jane worked in State Gov. holding the positon as Director of Welfare office in Ky. and retired to work in the Federal USDA/FNS as Officer in Charge in Ky and resides in Lexington, Ky. George was in politics as a republican serving as state legislator and then as county judge executive. They divorced and she married William D. Lewis. They had no children and divorced. Andrew Plummer is a teaching golf pro in Philadelphia at Aronimink . Karla Kegley married Gene Franklin Dickerson(Opal Esham-Eugene Dickerson) and had 3 children, Ella Jane Dickerson, Anna Franklin Dickerson and Gene Franklin dickerson Jr. The Dickerson family were from Lewis Co as were the Plummers and Stanley and Harrison and Hull families. Karla is a housewife and Gene Dickerson a doctor/surgery, Sumter, S.C. Ella Dickerson is an interior designer in Hilton Head, S.C., Anna a student at Georgia State in Athens, Ga. and gene Jr. a student at Hargrave in Virginia at this time.

There is one great granchild, Cody Harrison that lives in North Carolina and son of Donald Karl Harrison.
