The KEIM FAMILY, with dedendants of Nicholas Keim, son of Johan and Bertha de Turck Keim, was born April 2, 1719 in Philadelphia (now Berks) county.John Keim, son of Nicholas and Barbara (Schnieder) Keim, was born July 6, 1749, in Philadelphia county, Pennsylvania and was a child when the family moved to Reading, PA.
Benneville Keim, son of John and Susanna (de Benneville) Keim was born November 30, 1790.

All of the above are decendants of Ludwig Hericourrt Keim, who was born near Speier, in the Palatinate of the Rhine River - Germany. George Keim was born about 1623. His son, George Keim, was born about 1647. His son Johann (2) Keim, was born about 1675, near Speier, and became the founder of the American branch of the family. He came to America in 1698 or 1699. He returned to Germany for several years and returned to Pennsylvania about 1707 or later.
