The Olaf T. Hoves of Alexandria, MN

Updated November 9, 2000

About Our Family Research

Olaf T. Hove came to the US, and Mn in the late 1800s. He and his brother,Tom, had a clothing store in Minneapolis, MN. He met and married Caroline Stone, and they moved to Appleton, MN and opened a grocery store. Tom went to California, and I do not have any information about exactly where he ended up.
In the depression of the 1890s, Olaf lost the store, and he and Caroline and their three male children moved to Douglas County, LaGrand township, four miles from Alexandria, where they bought a farm. They lived there until their deaths. They had seven children: Arthur, Fred, Marvin, Clifford, Henry, Carl and Ruth.
