The Kelley/Seward/Rhindress/Hill Families

Updated February 26, 2008

About Our Family Research

My Uncle Clyde and I have been researching our family history for the past few months. We have gotten a lot accomplished. The Kelley/Kelly side of our family we got back to a John Kelly, born before 1775 in Ireland and died in Fleming County, Kentucky. Seward family we researched back to Edward Seward, born in 1601 Bristol, Gloucestershire, England and his wife Ann Lister, born in 1605, Adel, Yorkshire, England. Their son Lt. William Seward, born 1627, Bristol, Gloucester, England married Grace Norton, daughter of Thomas Norton and Grace Wells. I traced the Norton family to 1040 A.D. Le Signor de Noruile came to England with William the Conqueror. He was a constable for William the Conqueror. The Rhindress and Hill families are on my mother's side.
