The Kelly-Wallace family histories began with the great-great grandparents, Hanibal and Alberta Johnson of Chester, South Carolina. They were my mother's grandparents. A daughter was born unto them, Margaret Johnson. Margaret was to become my great-grandmother. She married Bert Carruthers. With this union
my grandmother Queen Carruthers was born. She married Hubert W. Kelly Senior. They had a son Hubert Jr. who was to become my father. This lead to the Wallace side of the family.
