I have just discovered that my family dates back to William Claiborne who came to Virginia in 1621 and the original Duvals of Virginia-- as well as to frontier Baptist preachers in KY, TN, and MO. My great grandmother was a Whitaker, who had a great deal of Native American ancestry. On my father's side, I am related to the Schatzes who came to Southeast Missouri from Germany in 1856. I am eager to learn as much as I can about history in general-- as well as to the lives of my ancestors as they played a part of that history. I want to share all of my information.
