This family has been associated with the Landed Gentry for five hundred years living in London or the surrounding counties of Surrey, Kent, Hampshire and Sussex, and have been travelling worldwide during that time in their capacity of trading within the drapery trade, and the family custom of becoming Naval personel. They were also involved with the East India Dock Company.
I have to date done very little research and would be grateful for any information regarding persons with this surname in any country.
