We're researching more about: Edward Kelley (b. abt. 1745 unk; m. abt. 1767 unk). Where was he born, who were his parents (what was their lineage)? His wife was: Elizabeth Lauthers (what was her ancestry)? She may have had a father: James, brothers: James, Robert & William and sister: Mary. The Kelley's lived in Armstrong Co, Centre Co, Clarion Co, Cumberland Co, Forest Co, Franklin Co, Jefferson Co, Mifflin Co, Northumberland Co & Venango Co PA. The Lauthers lived in Cumberland Co and Lancaster Co PA. Edward Kelley, together with other Kelleys and Lauthers, served in the Cumberland County Militia during the Revolutionary War.
Edward and Elizabeth Lauthers Kelley had seven (7) children: James (b. abt 1768, m. Anne unk), John (b. abt. 1770, m. Mary Beatty), William (b. abt 1772, m. Azariah was married to Jane Beatty (Robert Beatty & Agnes Calhoun; b. abt 1795 unk; m. abt 1815 Armstrong Co PA). They had eight (8) children: William b. 1816, Joseph b. 1817, Eliza b. 1819, Nancy b. 1821, Frutilla b. 1823, Mary b. 1825, Jane b. 1827 & John b. 1834. Azariah Kelley d. in 1860s (Clarion Co PA); Jane Beatty Kelley d. in 1870s (Clarion Co).
Joseph Kelley was b. 8-3-1817. He m. Permelia Haight (Benjamin Haight & Phoebe Ruff; b. 4-18-1813 NY) in 1844. They had 5 adult children: David Sanderson b. 1846, Washington Wayne b. 1848, Phoebe Jane b. 1850, Winfield Scott b. 1853 and William Fremont b. 1856 in PA. David & Washington served in the Civil War from Pittsburgh. After the war, the Joseph Kelley family moved to Faribault Co, MN. Joseph Kelley d. 1881, bu. at Wells, MN. Permelia Haight Kelley d. in 1893, bu. at Wells, MN.
Winfield Scott Kelley m. Estella Marie Eldred (b. 2-5-1854 WI) on 12-21-1874 in Wells, MN. They had seven (7) children: Joseph b. 1876, Francis b. 1879, Lillian b. 1880, Clara b. 1884, Adelbert b. 1887, Florence b. 1888 & (Le)Roy Noble b. 3-11-1893.
