The Kelly Family of Adjala Twp., ON., CAN

Updated September 22, 2007

About Our Family Research

I started my family research using the books: 'Adjala' by Francis V. McDevitt and Mary Margaret Munnoch. And 'The Kelly's of Monastervan and Adjala' by Rev. Michael Vincent Kelly, C.S.B. and now have over 1800 names. We have a family reunion every thanksgiving. I have names and dates going back to Ireland in the 1700's. From about 1825 everything takes place in Canada. We have Preists, Nuns and a couple of Judges in the family. The Kelly's were one of the first settlers in Adjala Twp., Simcoe Co., ON., CAN. My direct line were mainly Farmers. My line starts with Patrick Kelly who was born and died in Ireland. His son Hugh came to Canada in the early 1820's his youngest son John is next in my line. He also had a son John who had Joseph then my grandfather, my father, myself then my son.
