Families found in early settlements in Maine such as Armstrong, Bayley/Bailey, Baldic, Beach of Maine, Canada and Great Britain; Bourque, Bridges, Brown, Ford, Gates, Godfrey, Hanscom, Keene, Kinsley/Kingsley of Boston and Maine; Lund of Maine and Canada; Morgan, Mowry/Morey, Scott, Sutton, Thistlewood of Maine, Canada and Great Britain; Verrill, Vickery, and Yates/Yeats; are only a few of the family lines I've been working on since 1982. Most of them settled early in Washington County and their descendants came to include the Almquist from Sweden, Broom, Donnovan in Ireland, Gaynor, Gurney; Kelly, McGrath and Nagle of Ireland; Pitts, Svensson, Svensdotter, and Swanson of Sweden and Brockton Mass.
