My name is Mary Nell Clemmons Kelly. My grandfather was Daniel Clemmons of Geneva, Alabama. His father was Archibald A. Clemmons of Pulaski County, Georgia. Archibald's father was John Maximus Clemmons also of Pulaski County, Georgia. My grandfather's siblings were Joseph Jackson Clemmons, John Wesley Clemmons,Amanda Jane "Babe"Clemmons Doswell,Mary Clemmons Hendrix,Nancy Clemmons Hayes, Elnora Vasti Clemmons(died at about 8 years of age),Ami Ardena Clemmons Vickers,Effie Anna Abashaba Clemmons(died at about age 18),Matilda Elizabeth Clemmons Wells,Samuel Archibald Clemmons, & William Franklin Clemmons. The Clemmonses moved from Pulaski County, Georgia to Hartford, Al. In fact- my great-great uncle -William Franklin Clemmons -founded and was the mayor of Hartford, Al. My grand- father- Archibald Clemmons -served as a Confederate Civil War Soldier in the Geneva, Alabama Choctawhatchee Rangers of Geneva County.My father's siblings: Mattie Ozella Clemmons Register,Amos Calvin Clemmons(died at age 48), Ethel Mayo Clemmons Cowan Wilkinson,Horace Byron Clemmons(died at age 9), Dorothy Marguarite Clemmons Andrews,and Virginia Ann Clemmons Motley. My father died in 1992. I am interested in hearing from any family relatives. The annual Clemmons Family Reunion is held each Oct. in Geneva, Al.
