I first began exploring our families genealogies for our oldest daughters english requirement in the 8th grade. All she had to research were 3 generations. Two years later when our youngest daughter was in the 8th grade she had to research up to 5 generations. That got me hooked. I've been doing this for 5 years now.
I have been to our local library & at the library in Fort Wayne, IN many times.
I couldn't believe how many people do this as a hobby as I do.
My family and I talked to this couple one Sunday afternoon in Ft. Wayne, and they have been doing this for 14 years.
I talked to my mother about this & she said something that triggered my mind about when I was in grade school that there was this couple from Chicago that was researching my Grandfather's side on my mothers side, that they were mormons. I forgot all about that.
I'm having some trouble finding information though, but I do believe that it is very interesting and I hope that my children will appreciate what I find will be treasured in the generations to come.
