I am currently searching for information on my great-great-great-grandfather Rev. William J. Coder.
William was born about 1785. He was a Methodist Episcopal minister who preached on the Sunbury Circuit in Northumberland County, PA. About 1837 he moved to Mason (then Tazewell) County, IL.
His sons were David J. Coder, George H. Coder, Elisha B. Coder, Darius L. Coder, Nelson H. Coder, Robert Coder, and William Coder.
According to a history of Mason County, IL, William was a physician as well as a preacher.
I don't know William's wife's name, but it may have been Harriet, as 3 of his sons named their oldest daughters Harriet.
