The Kelsey's from Tioga County, New York

The Kelsey's I believe came out of Conn. My grandfather Paul Kelsey married into the the Lake family from Spencer NY. His father was Lee Kelsey who I believe came out of Tioga Center NY and died in Spencer NY.
My father Dale married Joyce Nichols from Candor NY. My maternal grandmother Lottie (Ruth)Hammond Nichols. Her fathers' name was Arthur Hammond. Arthur married Blanche Herdic from Candor. Arthur and Blanche had 3 boys beside my grandmother. Their names were Edgar, Lloyd and Glen Hammond.
Arthurs' father Seth Hammond, my maternal great great grandfather, I believe came out of Oneonta NY. Seth owned a farm in Straits Corners NY. He married Adaline Vergason. He raised sheep and other crops. He was supt. of the one room school house for a number of years in Straits Corners and Lay Pastored at the Straits Corners Baptist church.
Annually there is held a Nichols Reunion in Spencer NY. A the home of Carol and Richard Smith.
