I am Sherry Anne Kelley. My maiden name is Barrett, married to Terry Comstock, had a son, Lee Comstock, divorced. Re-married now to Rodger Kelley in Longmont, Colorado. He has 4 beautiful and loving daughters, Tessa, Cassie, Kim & Patty. All my grandparents have passed away. My folks, Paul & Joan Barrett (retired from 20+ years in Air Force life) live a couple hours away in Pueblo and I talk to them and we drive back and forth to visit quite often. My older brother Jim Barrett passed away a few years ago on his acres in Kentucky from cancer. My younger brother Mike Barrett lives in Pennsylvania and has a great wife, Kara and two sons, Jason & Austin, whom I wish I could see and get to know better before they are gone from home. We talk on the phone and email as often as we can. But only get to see them every few years. My youngest brother Joe Barrett lives about 45 minutes from me in Arvada with his 10 year old son and we see each other quite a bit. I don't have a whole lot of info on my ancestors, some is so old I just can't read the copies.. My dad's folks lived in Amarillo for many years and passed away there, Lewis & Annie Barrett. I also have aunts and cousins still in the area. My mom's folks, James & Alta Waller lived in Fort Worth for many years and he passed away there, she passed away in Durant, Oklahoma, where I have an Uncle George Waller, married to Linda.
I have more out there somewhere, I just don't know where anymore. I can go back about 3, possibly 4 generations. I know we have Cherokee bloodlines on my Mom's side, not sure which tribe on my Dad's. My uncle never followed up on his research, so don't have lots of details. I have some names, places and dates:
Mom's: Waller, Mitchell, Emerson, Chisholm, Baker, Teague, Priddy, Sexton, dating back to 1834, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennesee, N. Carolina, Kentucky & some missing in between.
Dad's: Barrett, Runyan, Gilbert, Watson, Parkinson, Thompson? Dating back to 1878, Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Tennessee, Mississippi, lots of gaps here.
