Seans' father was born in County Tipperary, Ireland, in 1913 (or 1912?) His name was James Kennedy. When James was about five years old he was adopted (don't know the reason), by a family in Peamount Road, Newcastle, County Dublin called Edward (Ned) and Mary Brophy. As far as we know, the Brophys' had no other children but Ned Brophys' brother, Peter, lived with them. We would like to know if there are any relations out there. We are a big family but would love to know if we have more! James married Elizabeth Kelly from Saggart, County Dublin in 1935/1936, they had twelve children, four died at a very young age, eight are still living, the eldest is now 67, Sean is 62. Ther are lots of grandchildren and great grandchildren. James, (we called him Jim or Jem!) loved gardening and children around him all the time. It would be great if we found relations out there, we are sure there are. Please contact this page if you think you can help. regards, Sean & Bernie Kennedy.
