I started this Famly Tree in honor of my Mother. It was to be a project the two of us were to work on together. We were suppose to decipher our family Bible's handwriting. But she died before we could.
Since then I've found people and facts that were not even in the Bible. Through church, court & cemetery records. Old books and finding new family members with even more information, it's been addictive!
I find some times I'm up all night digging for more! I'm not sure if I'll ever be satisfied with it.
Your learning history all the while. Yes, history you were thought in school but some you weren't. Our tree includes facts about their lives (or at least it will as I find them).
It seems so far this family had close knit ties with their community. They married mostly within the community. You'll see how the surnames keep resurfacing in the marriages every so many generations.
