My father, John Joseph Stino, came to the United States from Austria in the year 1903 or 1904. He was the first born child of Joseph John Stino and Mary Teresa Gregas et Gregus Stino. From the stories my father told me as a child, his parents were both orphans, thus never finding out any additional information on their own ancestors. My mother was born Edith Louise Howard, daughter of Clema Howard, father unknown, until Clema Howard married DeGrove May in July 1925. My mother was born May 8, 1922 or 1923 in Bear Lake or Lottsville, PA. My father was born on May 13, 1900, in Austria or Poland, however the countries were separated at the time. My father had three siblings, Mary Teresa Stino marrying Joseph Kwiatkowski, Anna Stino, having married twice, once to a Danuski, and once to Stanley Orbanic. He had a brother Frank, who never married. My mother is the oldest of eight children in the May family. Her siblings' names are Vernon, Ida, Wanda, James, Jean, Robert, and Linda. Her brother Robert May died in 1998. I am the youngest of seven children, eldest Allan Leroy, born April 21, 1938, died 5/26/97, brother David Earl, born 11/16 /42, Patricia Ann, born 7/15/45, Josephine Jane, born 3/22/47, Kathleen Mary, born 6/4/50, Florence Louise, born 3/30/52, and myself, Frances Marie, born 10/10/54.
