The research for my KENNA roots has been difficult. My biological father JOSEPH HAROLD KENNA, died when I was but seven years old, and my mother did not know much about his family. Now that I am in my 70's I wish to find all that I can about my roots so that my children will have that information.
Thus far most of the information has been found on microfilmed copies of the New Castle News papers that my wife Gloria located in the New Castle public library. With death notices and obituary stories, and marriage notices we have been able to put together most of the family. Thanks to those of you that particpate on the Genealogy Forum and to Walt Jones for his find of a Henry Kenna 68 yr.old born in Ireland and his family in the 1880 census of PA. The ages of each member and especially the father and grand son, both Joseph's fit the dates that we have on a marriage certificate. One peice at a time my wife says and soon the puzzel will be put together. Would like to find more on Henry Kenna. Whom his wife was would be a nice start. Like every thing else a news paper story is only as correct as what the informant knew. Even from the horses mouth as it were, facts are not always correct. Two news papers with the same story do not always write the same facts the same, nor the dates of events.
