This page is dedicated to my great-grandmother,Naoma "Omey" Phillips.Through her,I first became interested in the research of the Kennedys.Much of my early information came from her.She had an extraordinary memory for someone her age.Several years ago,I had the great privilege of staying with her for a few weeks. When we would look through her photo albums, she could tell me exactly who everyone was and how they were related to me.She was 92 at the time.
Unfortunately,Great-grandma Omey died last December at the grand old age of 94.She was a wonderful woman, and is missed so much by her family and friends.
"Be o bye baby,be o bye baby o.Whatcha gonna do with the baby, whatcha gonna do with the baby-o? Gonna wrap it up in calico, hang it from a tree limb bough.Gonna keep it warm when the cold winds blow, that's what I'll do with my baby-o.Be o bye baby,be o bye baby-o." ~sung by Omey Phillips to her children,grandchildren,great-grandchildren,great-great-grandchildren....
