Arthurs of North Carolina

Updated June 7, 2012

About Our Family Research

The Arthur boys of Jones County were a rowdy bunch when they got together for a barn raising or a hog killing. With everyone having their own special ingredient or way of doing things and having a grand ole time getting the jobs done. They mainly lived within throwing distance of each other most of their lives and family reunions were unnecessary. The few that had moved away came to visit and that was it. They remembered their old times and the things they'd done growing up and talked old times up while working in the garden or shelling beans or digging taters or saying goodbye to loved ones gone off to a better place. It was just one big family and good or bad they all loved one another.
