I have recently started researching my family history. I have talked to family memebers about the history and gotten all the information that is in my tree so far from them. I am at this time at 14 generations on one branch of my tree. On my Mothers side, my Grandfathers name was Wyman Henry Riedl and his parents were Henry Riedl and Jenny Maude (Gano) Riedl.My Grandmothers name was Dorothy Bernadette (Merritt) Riedl, her parents were James Henry Merritt and Bertha Augusta (Carrol) Merritt. Merritt was also spelled Merrett by some of the family. On my Fathers side of the family, my Grandfathers name is Elmer Henry Kilby, his parents were Henry Washington Kilby and Phoebe Jane (Jones) Kilby. My Grandmothers name was Christine Margaret (Smith) Kilby, her parents were James Agustus Smith and Mary Amanda (Young) Smith.
I am also looking for information on my husbands family, which is proving to be much harder. His Grandfather was full blooded Osage indian. Someone in the history either grandpa or great grandpa changed their last name to Kennedy which was the maiden name of his wife or mother not sure which. Grandma Kennedys maiden name was Howe. She was also part indian, not sure which tribe.
