About Our Family Research

I have traced the Battarbee ancestory back to 1740 in the parish of Hanmer in Flints, Wales. A John Battarbee (grocer/baker) married Elizabeth Kempster. I have not been able to find out when and where he was born, but I have found out a lot more up to the present date. They generally lived on the Flint/Cheshire borders in Hanmer, Worthenbury, Threapwood, Tallarn Green and Malpas area.
One branch of the Battarbee family moved to Kentish Town in London in the mid 1800's. Two people emigrated to Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia and one family emigrated to Franklin, Louisiana, USA in the 1800's.

One branch of the tree moved to London in the mid 1800's and I do not know the reason for this. They settled here and some changed their occupations.
