Hi Everyone

Well I started researching my family three years ago and I started with my grandfather James Joseph Kenny who I found fairly easy as I had a bit of detail about him. James married Florence Marquand who was previously married to a Boyle. I purchased both James Marriage Certicate as well as Death Cetificate and started tracing James origins. On the death certificate it stated his mother was Ann Caffery but after 3 years of research I discovered to many dates wrong for it to be a family connection. I then recheck both certificates and the marriage certificate states Clare Mc Coffery so Im starting all over again but I do have a great deal of records relating to the kenny family in Western Australia

There are three kenny families that migrated here one is from England, One is from Ireland and the other is a mixture of the two. My family where from convicts and the ship was the Clara 13/5/1864. If your casing a kenny in Western Australia and need some info just pop me an email as it is quite possible I have a record in relation to this.

Another interesting thing that happened to me while I have been researching my genealogy is finding out many interesting facts about my family. I have lernt that things can be definately not what they seem and this has happened to me. I had DNA due to medical reasons and although I got a clean bill of health I also found out that these where not truely my natural parents. After receiving this information as both the parents I have known are deceased I have made numerous enquiries to discover that I am definately not the exact person my birth certificate states. As I only have ever had an extract I have applied for a full birth cetificate but it hasnt arrived as yet and is definately taking its time. So where I go from here I dont really know all I know is I wasnt adopted in to the family or adopted out so it will be interesting to see what facts turn up. I do recall being called Suzanna for many years of my life when my name suddenly changed to Linda without any real explanation. So there you have it. Im at loose ends and if anyone out there feels they may be able to help me with any information I would greatly appreciate all the help I can get.
