JAMES & ELKINGTON Family Tree and Connecting Families
Updated April 1, 2005
|About Our Family Research
I started this research originally as a present for my husband 3 years ago.
My main interest was the ELKINGTON side of the family but as I kept finding marriages interest grew to the brides and grooms side of ancestry . In doing so , I find connections to Royalty, Manufacturers of silverplating, discoverers of drainage,Texas outlaws and even American Presidents and murderers and dare I say it,a couple of Black sheep - the list goes on.....
This is certainly more interesting than any histroy and geography lessons I sat through at school.
So take a stroll through this forest of information and if you have any queries, corrections, dates, amendments etc ..please get in touch.
PS; I`m always updating this site so keep visiting for more news.
You`re always welcome.

- JAMES` from Bucks/Northamptonshire borders (80 KB)
I have traced the JAMES` back to Buckinghamshire.Through family chat with our elders , it appears we came originally from Wales, as our ancestors were drovers and used to travel to Oxford and Northamptonshire with their livestock.I have yet to make the connection but hope to do so in the near future.
