About Our Family Research

My research began in 1991 when my daughter started college and had an assignment to research her family tree. When she went to work in the GA state archives she lost interest in family research.
I got a computer for Christmas in 1999 and began to find my long lost cousins. Have litterly found dozens of cousins through the internet. If you are related, would love to find you. This is a huge ongoing puzzle, you may be a part of.
My Grandparents were Annie Rebecca Boynton Cain (Sunnyside,GA1882) and Robert Oscar (Alphretta, GA 1886) and Myrtice Quinn Crow (Rocky Face, GA 1886) and James Callie Quinn (Sparta, GA 1888). My paternal Grandparents were married and moved to the Grant Park section of Atlanta, GA. My maternal grandparents families moved to Grant Park with their families and then were married. James M Cain (my Great Grandfather), a Baptist minister, also moved his family to Grant Park.
Members of the Cains, Boyntons, Crows and Quinns were among the early members of Grant Park Baptist Church. My wedding, in 1969, was the last one preformed before the church moved to Stone Mountain.
Annie Boynton Cain was the daughter of Luther J Boynton and Sara Elissa Hobbs, the daughter of Robert L Hobbs(1815,GA-1895 Griffin, GA) and Jahamel E.V Kilgore (1831 GA). Luther's Grandfather, Elijah Snow Boynton, came to Georgia on horseback from Vermont in about 1810. Elijah's GGGGGrandfather, William Boynton, and his brother John, arrived in Rawley, MA from Yorkshire, England in about 1637. The maternal family names were:Loyall, Moffett, Snow, Stewart, Harrison, Swan, Pell and Jackson.
My maternal Grandmother, Myrtice Crow Quinn was the daughter of Harrison Freeman Crow (1852, Hog Mountain, GA -1894 Rocky Face, GA) and Malinda Caroline Loner (1856, Tunnel Hill, GA - 1931 Atlanta, GA). Harrison, a journeyman preacher, was the son of Johnathan Wilson Crow (presumed to be the son of Samuel B and Savannah Crow of South Carolina) and Martha C Fann (d/o George Fenn/Fann, Lunnenburg Cty, NC - Grandson of Edward Algood, a married man, and Judith Fenn of Northumberland, VA).
My Maternal Grandfather, James Callie Quinn, was the son of John Thomas (1852, Carrs Station, GA - 1921 Atlanta) and Bette Denson Quinn(1861 Forsyth Cty, GA - 1944 Atlanta). John Thomas was the son of Thomas William and Ellen Arnold Quinn of Carrs Station,GA. Ellen's parents, John Zebidiah and Patsy Martha McClinton Arnold are also buried in Carrs Station. Thomas William is presumed to be the son of William & Franky Quinn and the Grandson of Benjamin & Frances Vernon Quinn, of Ireland.
Bette Denson's roots go back to Virginia as early as 1666.
There are still many missing puzzle pieces.
