About Our Family Research

Killeenklan was established to research the early Irish settlers
that homesteaded in Peel County, Ontario in the early 1800's.
My great grandfather, James Killeen, ( 1793 - 1868) came
from King's County ( now County Offaly) Ireland in 1825 and settled on Lot 30, Concession 1, Albion Township, Peel Co. Ontario. He married Mary Carroll ( 1810 - 1870) also from
Kings County,Ireland. and they raised nine children.
This research covers many of the families that married into the
Killeen family including ; Rossney; Carroll, Farley ; Carey;
Sweeney; Murphy ; Platt; Moran; Gilroy; Hagen ; Thompson;
McCarney ; Crook ; Cranston ; Quinn and many others.
I hope you enjoy this site.
