My quest for some family history satarted about 1990, while at Salt Lake,Utah for a professional conference. A free afternoon saw my wife and I at the famous Church of Latter Day Saints library.
Since then, we have traveled to many places where these early Kimmells called home--including Gimbsheim, Germany. A pretty village near the Rhine river, where the original Kimmels lived until migrating to America in 1751-55.
I received wonderful help on our family history from Tim Kimmel, of Fort Wayne, IN. Of course, many other people have added to our knowledge. It is amazing that researcers gladly share their own knowledge in Kimmel-Kimmell family genealogy.
Our research is never finished! But, it can be laid aside-- then picked up, as time and want dictates. A truley wonderful hobby!
